LABORATORY BUILDING 29 1999
The architects Zimmer Gunsel Frasca design for a biochemical
manufacturing building was a bold departure from the existing
architectural vernacular. A garden at the corner of Rancho
Conejo Boulevard ( rabbit river ) used native Southern California
sandstone boulders as the border to line the Blue Elymus Grass
recalling the long gone river.
The food court is comprised of a simple patio paved with sandstone.
Three trough fountains with small scuppers provide ambient noise
and Cooling from the summer heat of the Valley.
