CAPITOL
EAST END COMPLEX 1999 The State
Legislator in Sacramento decided to return the Health, Education,
and Welfare employees to downtown Sacramento. Four new office
buildings designed by Johnson Fain Partners surround a large
city park. A rose garden, water jet fountain in a transplanted
fan palm alee anchor the western edge of the park. A big oval
turf mound centers the park. Deciduous Oak trees line the
park. At the east end is a multi tiered fountain with a water
effect dome that mimics the gold dome on the State Capitol. |
