WARNER BROS
STEVE ROSS PLAZA 1993
In 1988 Steven J Ross the founder of Time and Warner died. The
studio executives decided to close off the vehicular street
in front of the Company Store and dedicate it as a memorial
walk in his honor. The existing sound stage was used as a backdrop
for an arcaded trellis. Jacaranda trees line the path. A simple
bronze fountain sits in the center of the plaza flanked by white
crape myrtle trees, and large azaleas. A blue rose garden was
installed – Steve Ross’s favorite flower. |
